HOME Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu says the planned solidarity march for Archbishop Alick Banda from the Cathedral of the Child Jesus to the Drug Enforcement Commission without a police permit is illegal. Mwiimbu, has described the march as a political procession, but says government has no intention to interfere with the prayer meeting scheduled to be held before the march. On Saturday, the Archdiocese of Lusaka called on parish priests and its members in Lusaka to hold a solidarity mass and march for Archbishop Banda on Monday.
