THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has clarified that Bowman Lusambo’s Chamba Valley properties remain forfeited to the state. The Commission says following Lusambo’s criminal conviction and the subsequent forfeiture of his properties to the State, it became necessary to discontinue the Non-Conviction Based forfeiture proceedings that had been commenced in the High Court. Recently, the ACC discontinued its forfeiture application against Lusambo’s Chamba Valley properties. In a notice of discontinuance filed before the Economic and Financial Crimes Court at the Lusaka High Court, the Commission did not state the reason for discontinuing the application.
