HOME Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu says his ministry has not received treasury authority for the recruitment of 4,000 police officers. Recently, Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba requested that government recruits 4,000 police officers ahead of the 2026 general elections to be able to adequately re-enforce security.
