FOR years, life in Mwanza East Ward of Moomba Constituency moved slowly for many residents who struggled to find stable sources of income. However, today, members of the Luihalo Multipurpose Cooperative have a different story to tell: one of renewed hope brought about by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Voster Hankede, a member of the 12-person cooperative, says the group’s fortunes changed after they received a K14,000 CDF grant in September 2025, which they invested in a small livestock venture.
