THE Zambia Police Service says it recorded a total of 386 road traffic accidents countrywide during the 2026 Easter holiday period, resulting in 30 deaths. In a statement, Tuesday, Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said fatal accidents increased slightly from 21 in 2025 to 22 in 2026. “During the 2026 Easter holiday period (from April 2 at 18:00 hours to April 7 at 06:00 hours), the Zambia Police Service recorded a total of 386 road traffic accidents countrywide.
