HEALTH Minister Dr Alex Katakwe has suspended five senior procurement officers at ZAMMSA and has further called on the ACC and DEC to urgently institute investigations into the matter. The minister has also revoked the appointment of Keagan Mwape, president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia, as a ZAMMSA board member. Speaking during a media briefing, Tuesday, Dr Katakwe said the suspensions were aimed at strengthening procurement systems and ensuring the timely delivery of medicines and medical supplies across the country.
