THE Ministry of Transport and Logistics has directed RTSA and the police to intensify enforcement against motorists unlawfully changing vehicle colours without updating registration records. In a statement, Monday, Ministry Principal Public Relations Officer Ernest Chanda stated that vehicle owners must notify the Zambia Police before making any changes to their vehicle colour. “Government has observed, with growing concern, the increasing incidences of motorists unlawfully changing their motor vehicle colours through practices which includes vehicle wrapping without updating registration records. Members of the public are hereby reminded that such practices are illegal and pose a serious security risk, as these create an opportunity for criminals to conceal the identity of vehicles used in unlawful activities.
