UPND Lusaka mayoral aspiring candidate Chitambala Mwewa yesterday successfully filed in his nomination at Civic Centre. This came less than 24 hours after Mwewa had announced that he was withdrawing from the mayoral race, as he was receiving threats. Meanwhile, Police later arrested Non-Governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) Chairperson Beauty Katebe, former Lusaka deputy mayor Ketty Nanyangwe, and 10 others, for conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. Nanyangwe, arrived at Civic Centre for the filing of her nomination in the morning, in the company of Katebe. Nanyangwe, did not say a word to the media, but was shedding tears as Katebe addressed journalists. Nanyangwe, who had also received a certified adoption certificate to contest as Lusaka mayor...
