THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) yesterday validated President Hakainde Hichilema’s presidential nomination, together with Vice‑President Mutale Nalumango, who he has retained as running mate for the August polls. The Head-of-State says he can only wish those who have not succeeded with their nominations “good luck,” stressing that he is confident they will make it next time. President Hichilema became the last candidate to file his presidential nomination, bringing the number of successful candidates to 14 out of the 30 who paid the K100,000 nomination fee.
