TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for firing Zambia’s deputy Ambassador to Ethiopia Tom Michelo, who allegedly swindled some Chinese investors of US$500,000. TI-Z Executive Director Maurice Nyambe says such decisive action is critical in demonstrating that public office does not confer immunity from accountability.
