LATE former president Edgar Lungu’s family spokesperson Makebi Zulu says there are ongoing consultations regarding Lungu’s final resting place. Zulu says the family will make an announcement at an appropriate time. Last year, the South African High Court ordered that Lungu’s body be handed over to the Zambian authorities for a state funeral following his death on June 5, 2025. But on Tuesday, the South African Supreme Court of Appeal set aside the order to have Lungu’s body repatriated to Zambia for a state funeral.
