A K1.2 MILLION staff house has been completed at Mupofwe Rural Health Centre in Mansa East Constituency, a development expected to improve healthcare delivery by providing accommodation for frontline health workers.
The 1×2 staff house was constructed at a total cost of K1,213,362.68 using the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
According to the Mansa Municipal Council, the project is aimed at improving the welfare of healthcare workers while strengthening service delivery in rural communities.
The council said the new accommodation will enable health workers to live closer to the health facility, resulting in faster emergency response times.
“The successful completion of a 1×2 Staff House at Mupofwe Rural Health Centre in Mansa East Constituency, constructed at a total cost of K1,213,362.68 using the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) marks another important milestone in improving healthcare infrastructure and service delivery in our communities. This investment goes beyond bricks and mortar, it provides safe and decent accommodation for frontline health workers, enabling them to live closer to the facility they serve. This means faster emergency response, improved availability of medical personnel, enhanced staff motivation, and better quality healthcare services for the people of Mupofwe and surrounding communities,” stated the council.
