POLICE in Kitwe have arrested 14 people, following riotous behaviour at Savage Yard Bus Station, where a faction of taxi drivers allegedly attempted to take over the management of the station. Kitwe CBD yesterday experienced disruption, after some drivers were seen running around, causing panic among residents and street vendors who packed their goods. People rushed to close their shops, as passengers waiting to board buses within the station could be seen running for their safety to nearby shops. Police later responded to the situation, while armed soldiers were seen patrolling the streets to restore order.
