RESOLUTE Party (RP) president Dr Martin Phiri has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND on their “well-deserved” victory. Dr Phiri adds that the party has resolved not to petition the presidential election, saying President Hichilema’s 60 percent victory is emphatic. He has also called on government to institute an independent investigation into the death of former Transport minister Mutotwe Kafwaya. On Wednesday, Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba disclosed that Kafwaya was gunned down during a raid in Kabulonga.
