PATRIOTS for Economic Progress (PeP) founder Sean Tembo has announced his retirement from active politics. Tembo says after careful consideration and extensive consultations with family and friends, he has decided to retire from active politics with immediate effect. In 2021, Tembo participated in the presidential elections where he came out number 13 out of 16 candidates, and managed to secure 1,813 votes, representing 0.04 percent. Three months before the just ended general elections, Tembo unveiled former Luapula PF MP Chanda Katotobwe as the PeP presidential candidate and assumed the role of running mate.
