ACTIONAID Country Director Faides Tembatemba has urged the UPND government to apply the law equally in its second term, unlike what she describes as selective enforcement during its first term. Tembatemba says the police and judiciary should be allowed to work independently to help rebuild public trust. In an interview, Friday, Tembatemba said government should ensure that no one receives special treatment because of their political affiliation. “I think what we saw was more reactiveness as regards to proactivity in terms of applying the rule of law justly, fairly and equitably.
