TONSE Alliance founder Dr Zumani Zimba says he has resigned from the Alliance, citing what he terms as unhealthy conflicts and evil schemes from rival camps. Recently, Tonse Alliance leader Brian Mundubile suspended Dr Zimba, pending investigations and possible disciplinary proceedings. This was after a series of Facebook posts by Dr Zimba, who said it would be a “big mistake” for Mundubile to petition his election loss. Dr Zimba urged Mundubile to recognise President Hakainde Hichilema as the winner of the August presidential election so that the two could engage in dialogue.
