UPND Deputy Secretary General Gertrude Imenda claims that the withdrawal of opposition candidates from some by-elections is due to lack of logistical support from their political parties. Recently, the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) declared UPND Lumezi North candidate Anderson Banda as the duly elected MP following the withdrawal of NRPUP from all by-elections and the resignation of Leadership Movement candidate Nebby Manda.
