Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) general secretary Fr Emmanuel Chikoya says it is sad that the law is swift when dealing with people who are underprivileged in society while it pays a blind eye when the rich and elite are found on the wrong side of the law. The Anglican priest observes that despite making a strong promise to demolish the houses and structures in Forest 27, the UPND government has failed to demolish a single chicken run one year after forming government. On the other hand, the government has been swift to move and demolish houses for poor people in Chingola’s Kasompe area who are said to have settled on land that is reserved for an air strip....
