EASTERN Province permanent secretary Paul Thole has told the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that his office currently has debt totaling K7, 176,091 in outstanding bills. According to the latest Auditor General’s report, Eastern Provincial administration had accrued debts in amounts totaling K8,319,014 in respect to personal emoluments, postal box rentals, and insurance premiums, some of which had been outstanding as far back as 2008. As at 31st July 2022, the bills had not been settled.
