THE Non-Governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) says it has started mobilising women to contest in the next elections as a way of improving women’s participation in politics. NGOCC argues that Presidency is not for men only as even a woman can be a Republican President. Last week, former PF deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri disclosed her intentions to contest for the PF presidency, saying God delayed the convention so that she can also contest for the presidency after leaving prison.
