Chishimba Kambwili says some Cabinet ministers are abusing their authority of office by using government resources to campaign under the guise of inspecting development projects.
At a press briefing at his Luanshya residence today, Kambwili, who is Roan PF member of parliament and NDC consultant, instructed the National Democratic Congress leadership to report Ministers of Infrastructure, Health and Community Development to the Anti Corruption Commission for abuse of authority.
Kambwili said Infrastructure Minister Ronald Chitotela, Health minister Chitalu Chilufya and his Community Development counterpart Emerine Kabanshi have abused their offices by campaigning using tax payer’s money.
“As NDC consultant, I am instructing you Mwenya Musenge, Menyani Zulu as chairperson for security to go to Kitwe on Monday and report these criminals for abuse of authority. They go to Luapula Province in the guise of touring developmental projects but just end up campaigning using tax payer’s money. They have a ZAF chopper and three other choppers to get cadres. This is total abuse of office,” Kambwili said.
He said Chitotela should be the last person to say there is no corruption in government.
“Now this is what we talk about that there is massive corruption in this government. The PF is abusing the Public Order Act. Ba Chitotela stop talking about corruption. You Chitotela don’t forget that there is a docket against you at ACC over corruption. This government is full of nothing but corruption. Insoni ebuntu ba Chitotela,” he said.
And Kambwili charged that Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja was behaving like a full political cadre saying it was strange that only UPND and NDC meetings were associated with Cholera.
“This selective application of the POA should stop. MMD is free, PF is free. But when it comes to UPND and NDC, there is Cholera. Does this mean that Cholera only applies to NDC and UPND meetings? Why should ‘Kambanja’ or Kanganja whatever, show open biasness? You IG, your days are numbered that is why you failed to answer in court. Why should MMD and PF have their meetings freely? We are going to start holding meetings without your permits. If you want come and arrest us starting next week,” said Kambwili.
“You are behaving like a common cadre. It seems you don’t have what to do. Your days are numbered. Don’t think that the Zambian people are stupid. They are watching.”
