PATRIOTS for Economic Progress (PeP) leader Sean Tembo has been dragged to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for using insulting language. Tembo is charged with one count of use of insulting language Contrary to Section 179 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that Tembo, on October 17, 2023, in Lusaka, did say “Bally is selling a few bags of ZNS mealie meal using Shoprite, hoping to create a perception of low price is equal [to] masturbation”, insulting language likely to give such provocation to Abel Mashowo to break the law or commit any offense against him.
