LUAPULA Province officials struggled to respond to some audit queries when they appeared before the Public Accounts Committee. The Auditor General’s Report revealed that in the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the financial year ended 31st December, 2022, a total provision of K85,090,677 was made to cater for Recurrent Departmental Charges (RDCs) activities and Personal Emoluments and the whole amount was released. The report further indicated that as of 31st December, 2022, only amounts totalling K84,905,335 had been spent.
