MINES and Minerals Development Minister Paul Kabuswe says it was unnecessary for KCM employees to protest against non-payment of the K2,500 across the board offer by Vedanta. And Kabuswe says government has lodged a Creditor’s Scheme of Arrangement with the court to remove the KCM asset from provisional liquidation. On Wednesday, some Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) employees stormed Katilungu House while clad in black, demanding that the mine resume operations under the signed agreement with Vedenta with immediate effect.
