THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has cancelled the Kayo ward by-election in Mwansabombwe District following the withdrawal and resignation of Citizens First candidate, Musonda Epillious, from the forthcoming polls. ECZ has since prescribed Thursday, February 15, 2024, as the new date for the Kayo ward by-election. The Commission initially prescribed Tuesday, January 23, 2024, as the date on which to hold ward by-elections in Mayembe Ward in Shiwang’andu, Kapamba Ward in Mpika and Kayo Ward in Mwansabombwe districts.
