PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has disclosed that the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has availed US$1.6 billion funding to Zambia towards development financing to strengthen the country’s food security. In a Facebook post, President Hichilema, who held a meeting earlier with Afreximbank president Dr Benedict Oramah, said the funds came at a critical time when the country was facing a food security crisis. “We were delighted to host the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) President Dr Benedict Oramah this afternoon at State House and discussed a wide range of issues aimed at accelerating our economic activities.
