THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has confirmed that it is investigating corruption allegations against certain officials at the Cancer Diseases Hospital, University Teaching Hospital and the Social Welfare Department. However, the commission says further details cannot be divulged at this stage as it may jeopardise the investigation. Meanwhile, Health Minister Elijah Muchima says he wouldn’t call the corruption reports at CDH and UTH a scandal, stating that it is an old issue and that disciplinary action was taken against some culprits.
