FIVE members of the FixZesco movement have sued the utility company in the Lusaka High Court, seeking an order that they be paid aggravated and exemplary damages for false imprisonment. Thompson Luzendi, Mwiza Zulu, Rizicky Fatacky, Mputa Ngalande and Given Kapolyo are also seeking an order that Zesco immediately pays them damages for assault and battery. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court Principal Registry by Messrs. Malisa and Partners Legal Practitioners, the five plaintiffs stated that during the Agricultural Show on August 2, 2024, Luzendi and Ngalande visited the Zesco stand.
