FORMER Chingola mayor McDonald Mulongoti says Brick Field Primary School has been deserted due to dust pollution caused by Chinese mining activities. But incumbent Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe says the Chinese developer has offered to relocate the school and has been handing out face masks and milk to pupils. In a statement, Wednesday, Mulongoti revealed that some classes were now being held from some churches because the school was no longer conducive. “Following stockpiling of copper tailings within the school precinct by a Chinese company, Brick Field Government Primary School located in Kalilo area in Chingola Constituency where Commerce Minister Hon Chipoka Mulenga is MP has been deserted completely. And surprisingly, nearby churches are now being used as alternative classrooms....
