HOME Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu has described former president Edgar Lungu’s assertions that the UPND government wants to disenfranchise PF from participating in elections as unfair and malicious. On Sunday, the PF issued a statement, where they quoted Lungu as saying that new office bearers were recently illegally installed as leaders of the Patriotic Front. Lungu said all these decisions, which were being perpetrated by officers including Mwiimbu and his Permanent Secretary, Dickson Matembo, were meant to defranchise and bar the participation of the PF in the country’s democratic processes.
