UNZASU president Dixon Mutambo, popularly known as “the Governor” says the 3,111 student loans awarded to first-year students at the University of Zambia are not enough. On Tuesday, the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) announced that it had awarded loans to 3,752 first-year students at the University of Zambia, Kapasa Makasa University and the Zambia University College of Technology. HELSB indicated that at UNZA, 3,111 students had been awarded loans out of 5,861 applications received.
