THE World Bank Group (WBG) says Zambia is simultaneously amongst the poorest and the most unequal countries in the world. WBG says its findings reveal that in 2015, three in five individuals were expected to be poor in the following two years. In its Zambia Poverty and Equity Assessment Report for the period 2010-2022, WB observed that Zambia’s poverty was becoming more entrenched over time. “Where we are, Zambia is simultaneously amongst the poorest and the most unequal countries in the world.
