TODAY we celebrate Farmers Day with a renewed sense of hope and gratitude. Unlike last year’s commemoration, which took place under the shadow of El Niño-induced drought and widespread hunger, this year’s celebration is buoyed by encouraging news: Zambia has recorded a bumper harvest, thanks to favourable rainfall and the unwavering resilience of our farmers. This good news deserves recognition.
