ECONOMIST Dr Lubinda Haabazoka says Zambia is the only country where almost everyone wants to become president. Meanwhile, Dr Haabazoka has rated the UPND government’s fiscal discipline at 9.2 out of 10, commending it for maintaining control over public spending. Speaking on Diamond TV’s Breakfast show on Monday, Dr Haabazoka questioned why many Zambians are fixated on becoming president instead of aspiring for other leadership roles. “The only conversation I hear every day is that ‘I am standing [for presidency]’, and everyone wants to stand for presidency.
