ABOUT 3,000 assorted firearms were destroyed on Friday, in an effort aimed at enhancing public safety by reducing the number of firearms in circulation. Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba says of the firearms, 21 were voluntarily surrendered by members of the public during the 2025 Firearms Amnesty. And Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu says the government is reviewing the Firearms Act, Chapter 110 of the Laws of Zambia.
