THE Lusaka Magistrates Court has granted Raphael Nakacinda a K20,000 cash bail in a matter where he was slapped with six months’ imprisonment with hard labour for expressing hatred, ridicule or contempt for persons because of tribe and place of origin. However, Nakacinda cannot come out of jail for now because he is still serving an 18 months’ sentence in another matter. In December last year, Magistrate Idah Phiri Mupemo convicted Nakacinda and ruled that the sentence would run concurrently with an existing 18-month jail term he is currently serving for defaming President Hakainde Hichilema.
