THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has urged public officers to disregard former Health Minister Dr Alex Katakwe’s statement in which he encouraged officials to accept gifts or gratification after a service is rendered. The former Minister of Health has since apologised for the remarks, saying he has realised that his sentiments were inappropriate and risked undermining public confidence in the standards he is obligated to uphold.
