GRAIN Traders Association of Zambia (GTAZ) says Zambia can achieve its target of producing one million metric tonnes of wheat by 2031. According to ZamStats crop forecast estimates, wheat production for the 2025/2026 season stands at approximately 81,822 metric tonnes. Recently, government announced through the ‘Grow Zambia Agenda’ that it has set a target of producing one million metric tonnes of wheat by 2031.
