THE US government has handed over health equipment worth over K10 million to the Ministry of Health. This forms part of a wider package of support being provided through the Facility and Community-based Service Delivery Support Project and TBLON projects across eight provinces. The equipment in phase 1 has a total value of about K5.5 million and it includes 200 desktop computers, eight spirometers and five oxygen concentrators. The project is being implemented by the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), with support from the United States Government through the Stop TB Partnership.
