Brian Mundubile, running mate Makebi Zulu and 16 others have petitioned Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha, over alleged violations against their constitutional rights while in custody. Mundubile and others are seeking an order to immediately remove them from Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility to the respective Police Stations where they were detained. The petitioners have cited Harrington Akushanga and Zambia Correctional Service Commissioner General Fredrick Chilukutu, as the second and third Respondents respectively. The 18 petitioners, currently detained at Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility, include George Chisanga, Patrick Mwansa, Trevor Mwamba, Francis Mulenga, Brazil Soko, Jackson Mutyoka, Bernard Chewe, Richard Banda and Emmanuel Mulenga.
