President Edgar Lungu has appointed Kabwe Central PF member of parliament Tutwa Ngulube as deputy parliamentary chief whip of the ruling party, taking over from his Chitambo counterpart, Remember Mutale.
President Lungu has asked Ngulube to use his diligence to effectively support the ruling party’s business in the House.
According to a statement issued by State House Press Aide Amos Chanda, President Lungu also encouraged Ngulube to use the portfolio in providing necessary coordination with the opposition in the House in order to enhance smooth conduct of parliamentary business.
“This is a very important portfolio and you are therefore required to apply yourself diligently as you deputise the chief whip in marshalling the necessary support for the PF Business in the House including the onerous task of reaching out across the floor to ensure smooth and efficient transaction of parliamentary business,” said President Lungu.
