IN a bid to improve healthcare access in underserved areas, a new maternity annex has been constructed at Mutenda Clinic in Itezhi-Tezhi District of Southern Province under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Mutenda is a malaria-infested area with a high population of informal settlers. The maternity annex, which is strategically located along a main road, is expected to serve over 12,000 residents who previously relied on makeshift facilities to give birth.
