THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has approved Zesco’s application to hike standard connection fees, effective January 1, 2023. The new ERB approved connection fees for customers in high-density, demarcated and reticulated areas are K3,510 from K769 for single phase overhead and K9,583 from K1,430 for 3 phase overhead. For customers in un-demarcated high density areas for single phase overhead, the new standard connection fees are K4,846 from K1,709 and K10,919 from K3, 159 for 3 phase overhead, among others.
