AGRICULTURE Minister Rueben Phiri says government has allowed the importation of mealie meal from South Africa in order to suppress demand for the commodity in border areas. In an interview, Friday, Phiri said the move would also allow Zambians to make some money. He urged citizens to also consume other products like Sorghum and Cassava. “What we want to do is that in these border areas and of course into the Congo, we are encouraging Zambians to buy mealie meal where they can get it and take it to the Congo and other areas.
