ZAMBIA Railways Limited has disclosed that the European Union has given a €50 million grant to the company for the rehabilitation of the rail line from Livingstone to Kapiri and from Kapiri to Ndola. Managing Director Cuthbert Malindi adds that the EU has already indicated that they are willing to support Zambia in phase two of the works. Meanwhile, Malindi says by December, the company will have six locomotives, something that has not happened for a long time.
