GOVERNMENT has commenced discussions with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission on a successor programme under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF). Government says the programme seeks to build on restored macroeconomic stability while accelerating investment, exports, diversification and job creation. Meanwhile, IMF Mission Chief Edward Gemayel says the successor programme will help preserve macroeconomic stability and debt sustainability in Zambia.
