A 26-year-old woman has appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for allegedly murdering her husband.
Ines Mbewe of house number D42 Mtendere compound had the charge explained to her by magistrate Felix Kaoma yesterday.
Mbewe is alleged to have killed her husband Mabvuto Phiri on November 8, 2017 by hacking him with an iron bar at the back of his head following a dispute.
The accused, who looked shaken when she stood in the dock, said she understood the charge and magistrate Kaoma told her that she would not take plea as murder is tried by the High Court.
