High Court judge Mwamba Chanda has recused herself from handling the matter in which former Post Newspaper Proprietor Dr Fred M’membe is challenging the winding up of his company saying she has a personal relationship with him.

When the matter came up in chambers, Wednesday, justice Mwamba stated that she would not handle the matter because she knew Dr M’membe on a personal level.

In this matter, the former editor-in-chief has sued five of his former employees together with the Zambia Revenue Authority for consenting to wind up the company without his approval.

M’membe wants an order to set aside the consent judgement dated January 10, 2018 in which The Post was declared insolvent and wound up as it was illegal and obtained by fraud.

But Post Liquidator Lewis Mosho wants the case dismissed arguing that the company no longer exists.
