A Chinese national has been dragged to court for selling replica jerseys of the Zambia national soccer team bearing a false trademark.

Huang Bing of Lusaka’s Makeni area pleaded guilty before magistrate Greenwell Malumani.

Bing is facing one count of sale of goods bearing false description contrary to section 6 (1)(a) and 23 of the Merchandise Trade Mark Act.

He is alleged to have on January 20, 2018 sold 26 replica jerseys of the Zambia National Team valued at K3,600 bearing false trade description.

The matter comes on February 19 for production of exhibits.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old man of Lusaka’s Garden House area has been taken to court for stealing two dogs valued at K700, the property of Catherine Phiri.

John Zimba is alleged to have stolen the dogs on Janauary 2, 2018.
